Fisher and Caroline Humphreys Ministerial Scholarships

This scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a graduate degree in a CBF partnership school, who have a connection to an Alabama CBF church, and are following the call of God upon their life in ministry.

The Coordinating Council for Alabama CBF voted unanimously to rename our Ministerial Scholarship Fund the Fisher and Caroline Humphreys Ministerial Scholarship Fund. We are excited to offer this tribute to the Humphreys for seminary students who are connected to one of our Alabama CBF churches.

Few have ever given of themselves, believed in and supported theological education among Alabama CBF more than the Humphreys. Fisher has been a significant theological voice and advocate in our state and across Baptist life.

Dr. Humphreys has worked, taught, and promoted theological training and modeled it in his life. He and Caroline have given their gifts of time and energy to CBF with positive and constant care. He has shaped generations of ministers, teachers, laity and missionaries to serve the Lord with love for the church, theological depth and personal integrity. Today we have a vibrant set of schools and ministers here in the state who are the product of their love, support, teaching, preaching and encouragement.

Your tax-deductible gifts will multiply through the life of a student and help them avoid crippling debt. This fund will wholly support aspiring ministers, teachers and missionaries to complete their theological education and serve the church according to their calling. We encourage you to give today.
