The Jones Founders’ Award has been established by the Coordinating Council of the Alabama Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (Alabama CBF) to honor the extraordinary legacy of Joe and Frances Jones. Their vision, service, and leadership helped shape Alabama CBF into a fellowship rooted in integrity, thoughtful discourse, encouragement, and mission.

This award recognizes individuals or groups who embody the same spirit of leadership, service, encouragement, and faithful witness that Joe and Frances consistently modeled throughout their lives and ministry.

Nominees may be considered based on demonstrated visionary leadership, faithful service, integrity and thoughtful engagement, encouragement of others, and a lasting impact on Alabama CBF, its churches, or mission partners. The award seeks to celebrate those whose lives and work reflect the generosity, wisdom, and commitment that defined Joe and Frances Jones.

Nominations will be reviewed by a committee appointed by the Alabama CBF Coordinating Council. Following a careful evaluation and discernment process, the selected recipient will be recognized publicly at an Alabama CBF Gathering or other significant fellowship event.

We invite Alabama CBF churches, ministries, partners, and friends to submit nominations for individuals or groups who reflect the spirit and legacy of Joe and Frances Jones.
