Alabama CBF Announces New Partnership to Support Churches and Ministers Through Coaching and Search Resources
Partnership with Laura Stephens-Reed expands affordable access to clergy coaching and pastor search support across Alabama

Birmingham, Alabama — January 27, 2026

Alabama Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (Alabama CBF) is excited to announce a new partnership with Laura Stephens-Reed, clergy coach and congregational consultant. This collaboration will provide coaching, consultation, and resourcing services to clergy and congregational leaders across Alabama, with a particular focus on supporting pastor search teams and individual ministers.

Alabama CBF partners in renewing God’s world through the people and churches of Alabama by forming together in three major ways: holistic mission engagement, cultivating healthy congregations, and investing in the future generation of Baptists. This partnership with Stephens-Reed reflects Alabama CBF’s continued commitment to strengthening ministers, supporting healthy congregations, and guiding churches through transitions with wisdom, care, and faithfulness.

“Laura Stephens-Reed literally wrote the book on the search process. Her wisdom and expertise make her a vast resource for Alabama CBF congregations and their ministers. Laura also happens to be one of us—she knows our state, our churches, and our people. She has been a longtime supporter of Alabama CBF, and I’m personally very excited about forming this official partnership in support of our partner churches and Alabama ministers,” said Lucas Dorion, Coordinator of Alabama CBF.

Through this partnership, Alabama CBF churches and individuals will gain access to:

  • Support for pastor search teams

  • Coaching for clergy

  • Access to Laura’s resources

  • Reduced-cost services made possible through Alabama CBF’s partnership

Together, Alabama CBF and Laura Stephens-Reed are prioritizing access, affordability, and meaningful impact for partner churches and ministers across the state.

As Laura Stephens-Reed says, “I am excited to partner with Alabama CBF in its effort to provide resources that help pastors and churches flourish. Clergy can live even more fully into who they were created to be as ministers and as people when they have the support of a coach. Pastor search teams are able to delight in their important work when they have more guidance and information about how to structure a spiritually grounded process for finding a great fit leader. I look forward to connecting with those in Alabama CBF life seeking these kinds of accompaniment.”

This partnership is designed to serve Alabama CBF churches and ministers, especially those navigating leadership transitions, vocational discernment, and congregational health.
