Monday, September 12 Hope is rising from the ground in the Williams and Webster's Chapel communities in the form of new houses. The tornadoes of April 27th, left many houses in this community destroyed. Five months later, volunteers from Alabama and other states are coming to Williams to help rebuild houses for families who lost everything. Families help with the building of their new houses, and the church and local businesses help to furnish the them when they are ready to move in.
Recently, we were in Williams as volunteers from Highland Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia spent several days helping to finish building and painting a couple of houses. "It's been such a blessing to us to be able to help," said Neil Heath, coordinator of the trip. "We hope to be back!"

We are building houses! We will need funding and volunteer teams to help with the houses if we are to do more. We have set up three mobile homes with additional rooms added. This week we began three houses of approximately 1100 square feet. My goal is to build a total of 12 of those homes, but that will depend on funding and volunteer teams. We have funds to build 5 houses now. I am speaking at a rally in August for a possible big grant to our county, maybe we can get some of that. Each house will be built in about three/four months. It will be given debt free. If you know of churches or individuals who may want to help build a house, fund a house, or just pray for the work, I would be happy to speak with them.
