Seed Camp - SSOH Summer Missions

Join the Seed Camp Team!

Seed Camp began in the summer of 2003, as a partnership between Vestavia Hills Baptist Church of Birmingham and Sowing Seeds of Hope. The camp has evolved over the years, but each summer the Vestavia Hills BC team provides a full day camp experience Monday through Thursday with a wide range of programming including Bible study, visual and performing arts, science, creative writing, recreation, engineering and more. Last year, they were joined by Baptist Church of the Covenant of Birmingham who took a team of 50 adults, children and youth.

This summer 2017, Seed Camp will evolve once again, and Alabama CBF will take on the responsibility of administering camp and our CBF partner congregations will come together to provide support and staffing. We need your involvement!

Seed Camp will take place July 9-13, 2017 in Perry County, Alabama at Judson College in Marion.

There are a couple of ways you and your congregation can help:

Join the Seed Camp Staff: There are a variety of needs on our camp staff, particularly important are small group leaders who work with a group of 8 to 12 campers, leading them in Bible Study and guiding them through their day.

Make a financial contribution: Seed Camp provides a free day camp to 150 children in Perry County, who may not have any other camp experience this summer. We would welcome your partnership by making a designated donation to Alabama CBF marked“Seed Camp.”

For additional information, or to inquire about how you and your church might be involved, please contact Lucas Dorion at Alabama CBF (lucas@alabamacbf.org).
