There are many opportunities offered through AlabamaCBF and National CBF for missional action, prayer and partnership. For more information on National CBF short-term mission opportunities for you and your church, visit www.thefellowship/Missions. Featured mission work in the state:
Teams and families are needed to help in the areas of: housing rehabilitation; literacy; community development projects; health care; sports/drama camps for youth and children; partnerships with local organizations and churches; and other special projects in keeping with specific skills/interests of the volunteer group. These projects are designed in partnership with the local community to make the best use of the abilities/skills/talents of the groups or individuals who partner with us. When: Ongoing Duration: from a half-day to 2 weeks AlabamaCBF School Supplies Drive for Alabama Foster Homes Pencils, paper, crayons and markers, glue, notepads- anything a child might use in a classroom! ALCBF staff will pick up the supplies and deliver them to the foster home association in Cullman, AL. When: Culminates on Easter Sunday (April 4, 2010) Assistance with Igelesia Bautista el Buen Pasteur, a new hispanic church start in Hoover, AL There are a variety of ways that your church can help: by providing volunteer help on a Sunday, organize a Vacation Bible School, provide financial resources for the church, and so on. Disaster Relief AlabamaCBF is currently involved with disaster relief operations in Haiti and in response to the tornados that ripped across southeastern states in April and May.
