New Church Starts PDF Print E-mail

AlabamaCBF is committed to helping churches and individuals who feel a call to help start a new congregation. Every church should consider helping to start a new congregation, either through an intentional church plant as the main sponsoring church, working in partnership with other congregations to start a new work, or by beginning a new "satellite" worship service and ministry in a different community.

Why should this be a priority?

♦ New churches are the most efficient and effective in reaching those who have no church connection.

♦ Starting new churches is a healthy expression of a missional churchs' outreach plan.

♦ New communities are being developed and populations of ethnic groups are growing in Alabama.

Dr. Mike Lewis works with AlabamaCBF as a new church starts consultant. He provides expertise and one-on-one assistance, as well as advice to beginning groups, about the DNA and development of a successful new church start.
