"Daybreak” is AlabamaCBF’s New Church Starts initiative.  Our goal is eight new churches by 2008.  Dr. Michial Lewis is AlabamaCBF’s Coordinator for New Church Starts. 
 
It is our belief that a new day is dawning in Alabama.  As dynamic new churches are established with a missional purpose all across Alabama, they will bring about significant change in people’s values, views, and ways of relating.  God is working to establish transformational churches in the midst of local communities, and these new churches will impact the people in those communities with the life-changing love of Jesus Christ.  People will learn together to experience God’s kingdom intentions wherever they are planted.  These new churches are God’s agents of transformation for their local communities and beyond.  A new day is here.  Rise and shine!
 
God is recreating a new day in Alabama by raising up a “new people” here – people who experience life together in the local church in a new way.  The message is the same – God’s Good News message – but the methods are being re-thought and re-invented for relevance in a changing culture.  "Daybreak" exists to assist churches and church planters as they strategically design and implement new churches in order to reach future generations of Alabamians.
